Rubber Injection Molding
Rubber injection molding is just one of the many methods Bruckman Rubber Co. can use to produce a quality product meeting the customer’s part design and material requirements.
We have a variety of injection molding machines to fit your mid to high volume applications and we have experience molding most elastomers. This enables us to produce parts to your production schedule.
Rubber injection molding generally consists of rubber strips fed into a chamber for preheating. The rubber is then forced into an injection tool with hydraulic pressure. The rubber travels through a runner system, through the feeders into the cavity that forms the part configuration. The picture below shows the concept.
In the above sketch the rubber is shown in red. When the tool opens, the part will be removed along with the flash pad. Bruckman Rubber Co. can assist you in product development, from prototype to production.
